Litter Box Fit Check: Your Cats, Litter and Space Against Maker Limits

The short answer

Self-cleaning litter boxes fail on paper before they fail at home: a cat outside the weight range, a litter the maker excludes, or a globe that is taller than the shelf above it. This tool checks your household against each manufacturer’s published limits for the six models covered in our self-cleaning litter box guide. It works in your browser and sends nothing anywhere.

Read the large-cat litter box guide for what a maker weight range cannot tell you about body fit.

Litter Box Fit Check

Enter your cats, litter and space. The tool compares them with each manufacturer’s published limits and tells you which models pass, which need a closer look, and which the maker rules out.

Cat weights
Space at the spot (inches, optional)

Footprint is compared either way round. Makers do not publish drawer-out depth, so add pull-out room yourself.

Only matters for water-connected units.

Specifications come from the manufacturers’ pages as checked on . BowlScout does not test litter boxes. “Days between emptying” is the maker’s one-cat figure divided by your number of cats — rough arithmetic, not a promise. Nothing here is veterinary advice.
