BOWLSCOUT STANDARDS
Corrections Policy
We want BowlScout readers to be able to identify possible errors and understand how substantive corrections are handled.
What should be reported
Useful reports include an incorrect specification, broken or misdirected link, outdated product status, misleading conversion, missing disclosure, unsupported claim or statement that conflicts with current manufacturer documentation. Please include the page URL and the specific passage when contacting us.
How we review a report
We check the original source, current product documentation and any relevant editorial notes. A report is not automatically accepted or rejected based on who submitted it. The goal is to determine whether the published material is inaccurate, incomplete or likely to mislead a reasonable reader.
What happens after confirmation
Confirmed errors are corrected as soon as practical. We may revise nearby language when needed to prevent the correction from creating a new ambiguity. If the change materially alters a recommendation or conclusion, we may add an editorial note and update the page date.
Minor edits
Spelling, punctuation, formatting, accessibility labels and non-substantive wording improvements may be corrected without a public note. These changes do not alter the underlying recommendation.
Contacting BowlScout
